Happy Birthday Nate!!!!!!
Nate is 3!!!! Can you believe it?! The sweet baby boy who came into this world on April 24, 2006 at a whopping 5 lbs 12 oz is three years old. Wow, time flies!!!!
Nate's birthday party was Saturday, but we brought in cupcakes to school on Friday to celebrate on his actual birthday. Yep, those are fun-fetti cupcakes (Ty's favorite). Nate picked the box out himself. :) Like father... like son!
We celebrated Nate's birthday at the Children's Park in Niceville. The best place for wild little boys!!!! The weather was great, the food was DELISH, and Nate was over the moon!!!! Big thanks to everyone for being so good to Nate. (Especially Bebe!!!! You went above and beyond!)
Hear No Evil, See No Evil, and Speak No Evil
(I'm not sure why...)
The Young Child Week
This past week was "The Young Child Week" at Nate's school. Kind of a like spirit week, but for little kids. They were assigned a dress code for each day. Of course, I was thrilled and could not wait! I really wanted to go all out, but I didn't want to scare off any of the other mothers from any future playdates!
Monday - Crazy Hair Day: Well at first I was going to do a fro, or maybe even a fro-hawk, but then I thought...hmmmm...what's crazier than Nate having straight and slicked-back hair. NOTHING! Well this was as good as I could get with his slick do. His hair has a mind of it's own, because I loaded it with extra hold gel and it released within minutes after arriving at school! Oh well, we tried. :)

Wednesday - Crazy Socks & Shoes Day: As you can see, he's wearing Crocs with socks. Nate would be quick to point out that they were not just socks, but walrus socks. Anyhow, I figured this would be as crazy as Nate would let me get with this. He's not to big on things not matching. He must have gotten that from his daddy. Yeah right!!!!!

Oh yeah...we got a pool!!!!!
It's about time!!!!!
We finally made the move......Leah is officially in her nursery. It only took us 7 months!!!!!! I'm not quite sure why it took us so long....maybe it's because she gets up throughout the night. Who knows!!!! Life is easier now....no more tiptoeing around our bedroom....brushing our teeth in the kitchen sink....watching the TV on mute....you get the idea. Anyhow, she's not sleeping much better, but WE ARE!!!!! :)
Leah playing in her nursery....SOOOO happy!

Swim-Bike-Run
We had an early start this morning.....5:45 a.m. to be exact. Where you ask? The Mullet Man Triathlon.... The race started at 7:30 a.m. and consisted of a 400 meter swim, 17 mile bike, and a 4 mile run. Here's my handsome hubby looking oh so sexy in his speedo! :)
Ty was in the second wave which included the 30-34 year olds. No he's not 30 yet, but he will be at the end of this year!!!! Yikes! Anyhow, the gulf was a hot mess...RED FLAGS!!!!! The officials were even considering canceling the swim, because of the strong rip currents. Instead they decided to proceed with the swim, and yes it was male officials making this call. Figures! The water must have been extra chilly, because Ty booked it!

Pacifiers....
This may look like your 'average' amount of pacifiers for the everyday pacifier user. A few for the nursery, 2 or 3 in the car, maybe some lying around the play area, and even some stored away as replacements. Here's the funny thing....Leah is not a pacifier user!!!!!! Much to my dismay! I was bound and determined to make her one though...by golly...she will be a pacifier sucker! Everyone told me that if you push it over and over again...that soon....she will take the pacifier. Oh that's so not the case. In fact, she gets ticked off if I try and give it to her when she's crying. However, she does like to play with the pacifier...chew on the sides, suck on the pacifier leash...etc.
Oh and as for nipple confusion...there is none of that with Miss Leah. She's too smart for that! She knows that there's nothing better than "breast"! Unfortunately...I have become my daughter's pacifier. Yep....that's right...I'm the human pacifier! I never thought that this would be my callilng...as the human pacifier. Anyhow, I'm currently working on designing some kind of sling device that can let Leah pacify on me whenever she'd like. Then we can look like the monkeys from the National Geographic channel....where the baby monkey is suckling her mother all day long!!!!! I kid!
(P.S. Don't let Leah fool you in that picture....she's totally guilty!)

Easter weekend
Nate and I dabbled with a candy kit and had a blast. Yeah, I know....I cheated with a store bought kit, but I'm all about the easy these days. :)
The Easter bunny came and brought even more "junk"! Nate was on a serious sugar high by 8 in the morning, which came in handy during the egg hunt.
Leah slept in during all the festivities. Halleluiah!!!! Here's a picture of her playing with her dress. She loves to lift her dress up and chew on it. This might become a problem a few years down the road. Hmmmm.....
Busy..busy...busy! The weekend flew by and now I'm whooped! We had a fun time with friends and family this Easter weekend. I just wanted to thank Jesus our Savior for all the blessings he has bestowed upon us.

Scott Macintyre
I know that I've never met Scott Macintyre, but I feel like I know him. I want to know him, because he seems like such a geniune person. There are very few people who seem so happy and content. He hasn't let his blindness get in the way of his dreams. Some people would look at his blindness as a handicapp but I think it's one of his strengths. His lack of sight helped strengthen his other senses. His ear for music is impeccable. That's why he's such a talented musician . No I don't think he was the next "American Idol", but he is an example of someone that I look up to as an inspiration. An inspiration to be a better me. Thanks Scott!

Sibling similarities
Same coloring, same blank stare, same luscious lashes....etc. Yep these kids are definitely siblings. The orange noses confirms it. What's with my kids suffering from severe cases of veggie nose?! Maybe that's why Nate won't eat veggies anymore....he doesn't want his nose turning orange again. Durrrrr.....
BTW....
It took me an entire day to finish that last post, because my children require my constant attention. They must enjoy looking at my lovely face....
Balding.....
Yep that's right! I'm losing my hair! No, not actually balding, just a severe case of postpartum hair loss. My hair started falling out right around Leah's fourth month (exact same time with Nate as well). It is constantly falling out and chunks of it come out when I am washing my hair. Nucky! Our vacuum and drains are working overtime these days. I thank my lucky stars that God blessed me with a lions mane because I would be pulling a Britney Spears (pre-psych ward) .
P.S. I think Britney pulls off the whole bald crazy look better. Especially since my bald head is blending into the background. Sorry, that's the best I can do with Photoshop at this point. :)

My monkeys!
Here is a recent picture of my baby monkeys. I used the word monkey because it's the nicest word I can call them when they are driving me nuts.
Ironically enough, neither one of them have driven me crazy today. Hmmmmm......maybe they are plotting against me. Maybe they plan on going wild the second Ty leaves for his softball game. I need reinforcements....Nana!
Third times a charm.....
Well this will be the third time that I have attempted a blog. I bet ya'll didn't know that. I kept it my little secret, because it was a place to vent. However, I learned that venting does no good unless someone is their to hear it (or this case...read it). Anyhow, this blog won't be all venting, because there are plenty of other things to blog about. Things like politics, global warming, Michelle Obama's wardrobe...etc. J/K!
Warning: I do not sugar coat anything, because my life is real. Real is not perfect! Therefore, you might read a blog about boogers or poop. That's my life in a nutshell and I wouldn't trade it for the world. However, I will bitch about it when needed. ........ ENJOY!
