My girl

Drool + runny nose + eye boogers = My girl
....and my girl is perfect to me. :)

Happy Birthday Nate!!!!!!

Nate is 3!!!! Can you believe it?! The sweet baby boy who came into this world on April 24, 2006 at a whopping 5 lbs 12 oz is three years old. Wow, time flies!!!!

Nate's birthday party was Saturday, but we brought in cupcakes to school on Friday to celebrate on his actual birthday. Yep, those are fun-fetti cupcakes (Ty's favorite). Nate picked the box out himself. :) Like father... like son!

The Birthday Boy

Brody, Jack, and Luke

We celebrated Nate's birthday at the Children's Park in Niceville. The best place for wild little boys!!!! The weather was great, the food was DELISH, and Nate was over the moon!!!! Big thanks to everyone for being so good to Nate. (Especially Bebe!!!! You went above and beyond!)

And this is how the party ended....
Hear No Evil, See No Evil, and Speak No Evil
(I'm not sure why...)

The Young Child Week

This past week was "The Young Child Week" at Nate's school. Kind of a like spirit week, but for little kids. They were assigned a dress code for each day. Of course, I was thrilled and could not wait! I really wanted to go all out, but I didn't want to scare off any of the other mothers from any future playdates!

Monday - Crazy Hair Day: Well at first I was going to do a fro, or maybe even a fro-hawk, but then I thought...hmmmm...what's crazier than Nate having straight and slicked-back hair. NOTHING! Well this was as good as I could get with his slick do. His hair has a mind of it's own, because I loaded it with extra hold gel and it released within minutes after arriving at school! Oh well, we tried. :)

Wednesday - Crazy Socks & Shoes Day: As you can see, he's wearing Crocs with socks. Nate would be quick to point out that they were not just socks, but walrus socks. Anyhow, I figured this would be as crazy as Nate would let me get with this. He's not to big on things not matching. He must have gotten that from his daddy. Yeah right!!!!!

Friday - Dress like Mom/Dad Day: Obviously, Nate dressed like daddy, but I threw on my gray polo and wore a camo hat to match my boys. :)

They also a had a picnic on Friday and all of the families were invited. The weather was perfect and we had a blast. Leah was in a great mood, which made the picnic even better! Maybe it was those apple pinwheels she was eating....

Oh yeah...we got a pool!!!!!

We decided to invest in a pool, so I went all out and spent a whopping 15 bucks!!!! That's how we roll....and yes...Nate is swimming in his underwear. My little redneck!

It's about time!!!!!

We finally made the move......Leah is officially in her nursery. It only took us 7 months!!!!!! I'm not quite sure why it took us so long....maybe it's because she gets up throughout the night. Who knows!!!! Life is easier now....no more tiptoeing around our bedroom....brushing our teeth in the kitchen sink....watching the TV on mute....you get the idea. Anyhow, she's not sleeping much better, but WE ARE!!!!! :)

Leah playing in her nursery....SOOOO happy!

Beach babe!

Swim-Bike-Run

We had an early start this morning.....5:45 a.m. to be exact. Where you ask? The Mullet Man Triathlon.... The race started at 7:30 a.m. and consisted of a 400 meter swim, 17 mile bike, and a 4 mile run. Here's my handsome hubby looking oh so sexy in his speedo! :)

Ty was in the second wave which included the 30-34 year olds. No he's not 30 yet, but he will be at the end of this year!!!! Yikes! Anyhow, the gulf was a hot mess...RED FLAGS!!!!! The officials were even considering canceling the swim, because of the strong rip currents. Instead they decided to proceed with the swim, and yes it was male officials making this call. Figures! The water must have been extra chilly, because Ty booked it!

Here's a shot of Ty mounting his bike. Please excuse the my lack of photography skills.

Finished!!!!! Overall, Ty did an awesome job. Sixth in his age group out of 32. Not to shabby considering he only trained for 3 weeks. I'm probably to blame for that! Oh well....Ty's still a stud!
